Today's children=sad future

In November I lost my cell phone at an festival. I looked all over my campus building where I lost it, and assumed that it had been stolen because I called it about thirty times and it was no where to be found. I realised that a 14-year-old from the festival must have stolen it...so I gave up on getting it back.

Fast forward to December 13th. I got my new phone today and I had some problems getting it activated. The customer service agent with an exotic accent pulled out my phone records and asked me if I've been "trying to access the Facebook" from my phone recently. I said no, because my account was suspended after I reported the phone stolen. Then she said that someone had been "trying to access the Facebook since November" from my old phone.

I realised that my former theory about a 14-year-old child stealing the phone was probably correct, as only someone that age would try to access facebook for a month on a de-activated phone.

I was a victim of theft, which made me a little annoyed and sad... but I was even sadder for the kid as he or she is an unfortunate victim of stupidity.
