September 11th
It was morning, 9-1-1,
A great disaster had just begun.
That was, a brief introduction
Of an event that caused great destruction.
Four planes were flying in the air,
Passengers were seated without a care.
Those planes were hijacked, sad but true.
People living their lives in a sky of blue.
The first plane flew in New York City
Close to the ground, it didn't look pretty.
The plane and a tower soon did meet,
We did not know that this would repeat.
After the second, the third plane went down,
The news spread quickly all over town.
The fourth plan flew, planned to be ground,
Instead of the White House, it hit farmer's land.
For some of us, this day passed us by.
For some of us, this day made us cry.
These events were so unreal,
All of this went too fast for us to feel.
When the planes hit, the towers exploded,
The towers burned, they suddenly imploded.
The dust in the air made the sky unclear,
New Yorkers nearby said they'd volunteer.
The rescue team fought a great fight
To save the victims day and night.
There were firefighters, police, and MDs too,
They were just a fraction of the rescue crew.
There was not much left at the ground zero site,
But the flag stood proud: blue, red and white.
People were missing in the debris,
Nothing was left, not even a tree.
To stop this even from having a sequel,
We need to treat all nations equal.
The world needs to communicate,
Or it will be the end, it will be too late.
