I know exactly what you mean! The best I can describe it is 'friend crush' - its where everything they do is awesome and they make you feel amazing just being near them.
I have two people like that, a boy and a girl, and even if its not reciprocated, its enough for me, just knowing that they're my friends (whether they feel it or not).

From what I'm reading, friends like him is very hard to find. Personally I have never have any friendship like that with a women because frankly its really hard to stay "best friend" with the opposite sex and just keep it at that. But i'm glad to see that your is a rare occasion. Treasure it :)
